Most of the on-line mapping services like mapquest.com are not accurate for the last few miles to the house. After reservations are made you will be emailed detailed directions to the house.
From Eastern Carolina
Take 1-40 West to Marion, Exit 86. Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Rte. 226 north. This road will take you all the way to Spruce Pine, NC (about one hour). You will need to make several turns to stay on 226; watch for signs. Several miles after you cross under the Blue Ridge Parkway, you will pass a shopping strip on the right, then crest a hill. At the bottom of the hill, turn left at the light onto 226/19E. Continue through one light and turn right at the second light continuing on 226 North. Hawk's View is located with 5 miles of this intersection.
From Asheville
Take US19/23 (future I-26) north past Mars Hill, then take Exit 9 to stay on US 19 towards Burnsville. This road will turn into US19E (DO NOT take US19W). Go through Burnsville and continue approximately 12 miles to Highway 226. Turn left on 226 North. Hawk's View is located within 5 miles from this intersection.
From the North Via I-81
From I-81 Exit onto I-26 East (Exit 57A) toward Johnson City (about 32 miles). Take (Exit 32) TN -173 toward Unicoi Road. At the end of the exit ramp turn left go to the stop sign and turn right toward the village of Unicoi. Go .7 miles and turn left on to TN 107. Continue to follow TN-107 crossing into North Carolina, TN 107 becomes NC 226 at the state line (about 10 miles). Follow 226 through Buladean and Loafers Glory to Bakersville (about 16 miles). Turn right at the red light in Bakersville to stay on 226. Hawk's View is located within 5 miles from this intersection.
From the North Via I-95
Turn onto I-85 at Petersburg, VA - to Greensboro, than follow the directions from Eastern NC (above)
